A small number of our customers have had problems viewing the 'Seminar on CD' disks produced by us.  We do make use of the latest technology applicable at the time of creation, and this in most instances has been the cause of any viewing difficulties.

You may be wondering whether the disks you have are faulty.  Well, we have created almost six thousand such disks (at the time of writing) and never yet has one proved to be faulty.  The duplication process employed by us means that every disk is tested before it is despatched and we have destroyed only a handful of disks due to their failing the test.

There are so many varying PC configurations and some software has a tendency to alter file associations and registry settings in its favour, so often the easiest way to view a 'Seminar on CD' is to try it on a friends computer.  This may save you many hours of trying to solve the problem, which doesn't come with any guarantee of success.

Listed below are the minimum requirements and helpful solutions to any problems reported, for each of our CD products :

• The TechSmith Screen Capture Codec (TSCC) must be installed to play movies encoded with the TSCC video codec. The TSCC video codec is not installed by default with Windows.

Problems Reported

1. When the display switches to a full screen video, you may get a completely black screen, or sound only - The only solution to this we have found, is a complete uninstall and reinstallation of Windows Media Player.

2. The video tutorials do not play correctly - see 'Master UK Level II ...' as above, as this uses the same technology.

• Microsoft Windows 95, 98, Me, NT 4.0, 2000, XP or later version
• Microsoft Internet Explorer v5 or above

• Windows-compatible sound card and speakers (recommended)
• ~300 KB of hard-disk space for program installation
• The TechSmith Screen Capture Codec (TSCC) must be installed to play movies encoded with the TSCC video codec. The TSCC video codec is not installed by default with Windows. However, we use *.exe files which automatically install this codec.
• Basic Windows multimedia and AVI file support must be installed.
• The standard Windows MCI Motion Video Device (95/98/ME) or standard Windows Microsoft Video for Windows (NT/2000/XP). This is normally installed by default with Windows.

Problems Reported

1. The studio version does not play correctly - see 'Master UK Level II ...' as above, as this uses the same technology.
